I DON'T WANT TO
...go to work tomorrow (Friday). The weather has been incredible in NYC the last few days! Not only were we able to enjoy some nice crisp cool temps in the 60s and low 70s, but the slight warming trend has made it feel like the warmth of an Indian Summer after a Winter's chill (well, without having gone through the winter chill)! I LOVE THIS! I hope to take some pics and show you guys! And, on that note (see below), maybe not.A NEW WORLD ORDER
...has arrived, sadly. My co-workers were on their way to work Thursday morning on the Metro-North train when it was stopped at the Yonkers station. A few MTA policemen came aboard and began questioning a man of Middle-Eastern descent from the train. He was dressed in a suit, clean. He was sitting alone and had in his possession a video camera. They heard other people say they saw him videotaping while the train was in motion, that he looked and acted suspicious. Dissatisfied with what he showed as I.D., the police removed the man, and said they had to take him back to Grand Central Station for questioning. As he walked by, my cor-workers could see that the man was trembling and obviously terrified.
Who is to say what the "witnesses" saw, really, on the train that morning? Were they overreacting on the train; probably. The conductor on the train, whom we all know, said, "It's better safe than sorry." My co-worker—who's white and was absolutely disgusted with what happened—said, "welcome to the New World Order." She's convinced that, had that man been white, nothing would have happened. Me? I don't know whether to cry for the civil liberties being constantly violated now for the sake of "security," or simply be fearful of what may come in the future. Now, simply carrying my camera around has become a "suspicious activity." God help us all!

That's so pathetic.
Some people are paranoids... which is why a lot of people agreed on Iraq war in the first place...
